iOS Insurance App

Role: UI / UX Designer
Stakeholders: CEO, UX Researcher
Device: iPhone iOS
Skills: UI Design / UX Design / Prototyping / Branding / Illustration
The Problem
-
Most consumers have at least 3 or more insurance policies with different insurers and varying renewal dates.
-
The purchase journey is increasingly more complicated with significant time investment to the consumer.
-
Accessing insurance data involves a mix of paper and digital documents located in different places.
-
Making claims is completely separate from sales.
-
Transform and simplify the customer experience of buying insurance.
-
Introduce a single contract for all assets on single renewal dates.
-
House all insurance policies in one place with access to all relevant documents.
-
Provide an easy and seamless experience for customers to make claims.
The Solution
Through existing research provided to me, I was enabled to develop a user persona. This allowed me to better empathise with my user and indicate their product expectations.
Research

I designed the UI and digital style guide using Adobe XD and then created a medium-fidelity prototype using inVision. The prototypes were used to conduct usability testing, allowing for further optimisations and more refined iterations to be created.
UI Design and Prototyping

A user flow I developed which shows the users on-boarding process.

A clean digital style guide with an easy to use prototype which realised the idea of the app. The developers could now get to work engineering the product and the founders were now armed with a necessary tool to help them conduct pitches in order to obtain inital funding.
